Seri, an unknown yet talented female chef from the country, arrives in Tokyo to work at French restaurant, Etoire, but discovers that they have gone out of business due to the departure of their main chef. Together with the restaurant’s former manager, she opens a French restaurant of her own and begins to recreate the flavors her late father mastered as a famous gourmet chef. Unfortunately, Etoire returns with an unscrupulous manager, and to make matters worse, Seri learns that it happens to be owned by her birth mother living in Paris who she hasn’t seen since she was a child. Seri wonders if her passion and skill will be enough to succeed.

Eijiro graduated from a prestigious medical school and began his career as a doctor full of wide-eyed enthusiasm. Eidai Hospital is one of the largest and most prestigious teaching hospitals, and Eijiro swells with pride to be associated with its team of elite doctors. But Eijiro soon learns that the hospital is a place where bribes and big egos can affect patient care. Further, Eijiro is only allowed to complete manial tasks, keeping him from truly fulfilling his dream of helping patients. Working for experience in the ER, Eijiro freezes during a patient's treatment and cannot bring himself to face the opening table again. To make up for his inabilities, Eijiro vows to do anything he can to help the patients, even if it means putting his carrer on thi line to stand up to those hindering patient care.

Themes of contemporary family and marriage provide plenty of laughs and inspiration in this domestic drama about a 39-year-old bachelor who can’t marry and a 32-year-old female divorcee who refuses to. Both would prefer to be left alone, but their meddlesome parents won’t let them. Daisuke works at a stationary supply company, and is something of a softie, but with a pessimistic view toward marriage. He returns from work one day looking for rest and repose in his recently purchased condo only to find it billowing smoke. Panicking, he runs into a woman in the apartment of a neighbor, Hanako, until he realizes that his apartment isn’t on fire, but that his father has come uninvited from the countryside and is trying to smoke meat on the balcony. What’s more, he’s brought his stepson with him and plans to stick around. Soon, Daisuke’s comfortable bachelor pad is populated by three men.
