She nevertheless can't resist sneaking away to have a look and goes to the crime site where, among the onlookers, she notices a man who displays a sharp set of eyes. He is Shuichi Ogio, one of Akiho's superiors and veteran of the 3rd Investigative Division. Ogio becomes her partner and mentor, showing her the ropes of being a larceny detective. Together, they uncover tricks used by professional thieves and detect motives and intentions to the point where they are helping the homicide investigations outside of their jurisdiction solve difficult crimes. They are a new type of police duo that are about to open a new chapter in police drama. |
