G4 held Ninja Warrior Fan Day at Santa Monica Beach

2009.04.04

On April 4th, G4, the broadcaster of Ninja Warrior in the U.S. held an event for Ninja Warrior fans in Santa Monica, California. G4’s “Attack Of The Show” host Olivia Munn and competitors from Ninja Warrior were among the featured guests. At the event, the fans not only had a chance to meet these stars, but could also attempt to run a mini Ninja Warrior course. The course’s obstacles included Spider Jump, Cliff Hanger and Warped Wall and ended with the famous red buzzer.

The turnout was impressive. Fans lined up as early as 4:00AM for a chance to be first to try the course. Many traveled from across America just to take part. The event offered fans a Ninja Warrior experience they could only have dreamed about in front of their TV.

G4 started broadcasting “Ninja Warrior” which is the American version of Tokyo Broadcasting System’s “SASUKE/KUNOICHI” in 2006. Since then, the program has become widely popular and some people say that, except for Mt. Fuji, the site of Ninja Warrior -- Mt. Midoriyama -- is now the most popular mountain in Japan. This fan day will be part of G4’s “NINJAFEST 4” scheduled for broadcast on June 21.
