Yamato and Kakeru are childhood friends. Yamato with his cool demeanor and good looks is a straight A student who is often confronted by girls professing their love.
On the other hand, Kakeru is a typical high school teen with many friends and a cheerful personality.
One day, Kakeru asks Yamato if he likes anybody, to which he mumbles, “Kakeru.” Kakeru responds jokingly that he can’t possibly mean himself, but Yamato has in that moment made his own confession as best as he could in this boyhood youth story about finding direction for unrequited feelings.
