“Batsu Bidding” Launch in Indonesia a Success

The Indonesian version of “Batsu Bidding,” a TBS game show format licensed by TBS to global media giant FremantleMedia last October, started as “Tawar Tawaran Tawa” on MNCTV (former TPI) on December 25th, 2010. The series launched well and the ratings increased for the second episode. It was the #1 game show for both weeks reaching a market share of 22 percent in week 2, and is now one of the top 5 programs on the channel. “Batsu Bidding” was a New Year special which aired as “KIRIURI” on TBS on January 4, 2009. In this program, studio participants compete to propose the most irreverent way to complete a task. If their idea is chosen, they must carry it out themselves in order to receive the prize money. |
