TBS’s prime-time Sunday night drama series My Family, airing weekly at 9:00 p.m. starting April 10, will stream in Japan and worldwide on Disney+ as well as on Japan’s Paravi video streaming platform. This is the second TBS drama series to be distributed by Disney, following the debut of TOKYO MER: Mobile Emergency Room in October 2021.

About My Family

My Family, starring Kazuya Ninomiya, tells the story of a couple who take matters into their own hands to get their kidnapped daughter back. Ninomiya plays Haruto Narusawa, the CEO of Harukana Online Games, a maverick in the video game industry. He lives with his wife Michiru (Mikako Tabe) and daughter Tomoka (Miyu Oshima) in the affluent seaside town of Kamakura. Haruto’s normal life is upended one day when he returns home from work and receives a phone call saying that Tomoka has been kidnapped and the ransom demand is 500 million yen. The police immediately open an investigation headed by Chief Inspector Yoshino  (Takeshi Tomizawa). But just as the police, including officer Keishi Katsuragi (Hiroshi Tamaki), arrive at Haruto’s house, he receives a call from his business partner, Kanako (Maryjun Takahashi), about an emergency at work. Struggling to come up with the ransom money as the kidnappers’ deadline looms, Haruto turns to a certain person to raise the needed cash. Meanwhile, Michiru, in desperation, contacts college friends Aoi (Kento Kaku) and Itsuki (Gaku Hamada).
