The Metropolitan Police Agency's most eccentric detective, Heihachi Hiratsuka, of the First Criminal Investigation Division is the sole member of the “Hiratsuka Unit.” Treated as a pariah by his colleagues, Hiratsuka nevertheless is a stellar detective who cracks one mystery after another, thereby leading other division members to suspect his activities and speculate that he has deep ties to the underworld.
