Ichiro is a PE teacher in 1986 feared by his students for a "tough love" approach, harsh tongue and frequently “inappropriate” behavior. He’s also a dad trying to raise a rebellious daughter after having lost his wife to illness. When he gets transported in time to 2024, he encounters modern sensibilities that teach him about empathy, but also gives people of today reason to rethink their own political correctness in this time traversing comedy about change.

Mikuri is a young woman with a graduate degree. But when no offers of employment come her way, she’s forced into taking on temp work and confronting “the painful realization that nobody needs her.” That’s when Mikuri lands a job as a professional homemaker for a strait-laced bachelor named Hiramasa. Mikuri’s perfectionist work ethic wins over Hiramasa’s complete trust, but unfortunate circumstances result in the loss of this job, too. Feeling anxious about the future, Mikuri makes Hiramasa a strange offer. “Would you consider employing me through marriage?” He agrees, and a nuptial agreement is signed, making the two legally betrothed in a somewhat falsified life as husband/employer and wife/employee.
Can the couple function in a strictly professional relationship like this without the truth becoming known? Is there any chance of a chemical reaction between a pure company man and a dreamer woman thrown together for mere convenience?

Shinya Ryuzaki plays a pivotal role in the national police force as liaison between the police, Diet politicians, bureaucrats and the mass media. When he learns about the murder of a violent gang member through the newspapers instead of the usual direct reporting to him by media outlets, he is perplexed and seeks answers from an old friend and colleague on the police force, Shuntaro Itami, who is now Chief of Criminal Investigations. Shizuku Miyama aims to become a doctor and follow in the footsteps of her father, Katsumi. “I want to make him proud,” she thinks. But when Katsumi expresses his disapproval toward his daughter becoming a doctor, Shizuku rebels and attends med school anyway on a scholarship. She makes it to her first year of residency where together with 4 other same-year interns she is assigned to the front lines of emergency medicine at the hospital’s critical care center. With only 6 months of medical practice behind them, these five interns lack sufficient life-saving skills, but through daily contact with experienced colleagues and contact with patients, find themselves maturing into full-fledged doctors and adults under the unforgiving life or death pressures of the emergency room.

Daichi Shinagawa is a bona fide “yankii”, a juvenile delinquent, who attends a prep high school. In fact, his reputation as a supreme tough is so widespread that he can’t walk the street without being challenged to a fight by other would-be thugs, and nobody will come near him at school. He therefore spends his days isolated and alone. Until one day he is befriended by the spectacled class president, Hana Adachi. While she looks like the prototypical serious student, Hana is herself a reformed “yankii” and something of a convivial space case. Daichi soon finds himself unwittingly swept up in her world, helping people with their problems and participating passionately in school events. Together they make for an incomparable duo in this fun and free-spirited high school fable.

Norimichi Sasaki is methodical and inflexible. His wife Ritsuko is big-hearted and earthy. They are both lawyers and even the slightest of matters can develop into a battle royal as they both let fly with the legalese. The troubles that unfold in the work and private life of this diametrically-opposed couple are depicted with a deft comic touch.

Ever wonder what would it be like to hear other people’s thoughts? Yusaku, an ordinary guy in an ordinary job finds out, when doctors revive him after a nasty fall down a flight of stairs. He soon realizes that he has this amazing power to read minds, but that it comes with an unusual limitation: he can only access them for 57 minutes after knocking his head tumbling down stairs! This is no problem for Yusaku though, who has always been a klutz. Soon he has turned himself into a peculiar modern day hero in an endless cycle of throwing himself down stairs to help those around him. This hilarious comedy shows just how far an ordinary guy will go to become the hero he has always wished to be and save the earth!

Twenty-one year old former high school baseball player, Kohei, learns that he is dying from cancer. He is told that he only has six months to live, and decides that he wants to do something daring and risky. He proposes to five trusted members from his former baseball club that they form a ring of cat burglars that would steal from those who commit crimes. His friends think it odd, but feel they cannot turn down a dying man’s request. With only six months, how much could they do anyway?
