With the successful Mobile Emergency Room (MER) slated for nationwide roll out. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare sends medical technician Aoto to replace MER lead doctor Otowa as “second doctor.” But Aoto has his own agenda on behalf of the ministry. Then when a runaway houseboat collides with a passenger shuttle on the Sumida River, team leader Kitami lays politics aside and boards the boat alone knowing an explosion is imminent but dedicated to defending MER’s "zero fatalities" mission.

Our story begins with travel agency headquarters' tour planner, Endo, being suddenly transferred to work at Narita International Airport in what he deems a depressing demotion. From his first day, the dorky Endo struggles to make the adjustment to his new, female-dominated environment. His subordinate, Morio, views him with utter contempt while his superior, Koizumi, is pathetically trivial and unreliable. Together with his quirky colleagues, Endo frantically tries to resolve a never-ending barrage of customer relations issues at the airport counter when all he seeks is a ticket back to company headquarters. As time passes, however, Endo begins to gradually share his colleagues' passion for the work, evolving from wanting to just "get people in the air" to "ensuring they depart with smiles on their faces." Endo's transformation to a hard-worker devoted to the customer even sparks new feelings toward him from his severest critic, Morio.

Haruko Takanashi is 30. She works at a radio station, and is approaching middle management where good looks alone aren’t enough. She isn’t very romantic so she devotes herself to work and play and suddenly finds herself alone. Just when she has given up on romance she meets a man at a party to which she was taken by a subordinate at work. He is 25-year-old Ichiro Kashiwakura and is nothing out of the ordinary. They start a relationship, and one day, out of the blue, Ichiro ardently proposes to Haruko. Realizing that he really loves her, Haruko says yes and they get married. But she still hasn’t told him her real age. Now Haruko has to cope with living with Ichiro’s mother, Satoko, eldest sister Setsuko who has returned home, 2nd daughter Kazuko who has just returned from a prestigious overseas post with her company and the third daughter Sachiko who seems to have reached a bit of a dead end in her life. Competition for Ichiro’s attention is only one of many problems that arise!

Ryota Osugi returns as the passionate self-made detective from the MOZU television series, running about solving tough cases with his partners, Kuraki and Miki. The feature- length film, MOZU, picks up with Osugi having opened a detective agency of his own after his mistrust of the police force compelled him to leave. The spin-off drama follows the fledgling Osugi detective agency as it struggles to eke out a living from cases brought in by private clients, and with the help of trusty partners like the well-informed beat cop, Narumiya. In the process, the real reason for Osugi quitting the police force comes to light.
