After being a star student in high school, Junko Harumi finds herself in her early thirties having failed at love, college entrance exams and good employment. Working at a cram school as a tutor bereft of hope and motivation, she spends her days believing she’ll be fired at any moment. Then one day, a knuckle-headed, delinquent teen named Kyohei Yuri appears before her. “I want you to get me into the University of Tokyo,” he says. Having herself failed to get into the country’s most prestigious university, Junko refuses thinking it beyond her abilities, but then is overpowered by Kyohei’s strong will and desire, and finally relents. In the process, she is surprised when her handsome cousin, Masashi Yakumo, an elite trade company man, returns from working overseas and suddenly proposes marriage to her. With her life suddenly taking a turn for the better, can Junko get Kyohei into the University of Tokyo from a bottom-feeder high school? And is she destined to find the love to set her life on a new path?

The story, however, stars a hero without a story, someone free to decide his own fate. But since he has only blank pages he can only wander to find his purpose.
What follows is a journey where our hero travels to lands and meets characters straight out of the pages of some of the most famous fairy tales. He must work together with the characters he meets to fight to get back his story.

Hiro was an ace pitcher in junior high school, until he was diagnosed with a “glass elbow.” After giving up on the sport for a time, his passion for the game draws him back to it in high school and he joins a baseball team only to find himself in a match against his old rival Hideo who plays for the highest ranked high school. The meeting of the two is observed by Hideo’s girlfriend, Hikari, and she finds herself increasingly drawn towards Hiro, despite his only being interested in baseball. These two young men battle for the dream of winning the famous Koushien Baseball Tournament and for the heart of the young woman who doesn’t know for whom she should cheer.

Tokyo 2023. Japan’s prime minister announces a plan to store contaminated material in deep-sea strata while entrusting a team of young technocrats to protect Japan’s future. He gets assigned to the force's public relations desk and subsequently finds himself attached to Rika in the role of attendant. Sorai and Rika differ on just about everything; their views, their mindset. But they share one thing: their childhood dreams have been shattered and they've hit a wall in life. From there, a mutual understanding begins to germinate, drawing them toward each other and toward the discovery of a new dream.
