New York. Ataru belongs to the Savant Program Branch of the FBI, which has just been hit by an explosive. Meanwhile, similar tactics have been used to blow up electric rail lines in Tokyo. Wheelchair-confined chief of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Akiho Hoshi, has just put agent Sawa and his team at the First Investigative Division on the case when Larry and Ataru appear on the investigation headquarters. According to Larry, the two bombing plots originated from a financial business zone in London, orchestrated via server by a computer virus dubbed "Wizard". The virus was developed by a Brazilian-Japanese named Madoka with whom Sawa and his force had previously crossed paths as a suspect in a serial murder case. Like Ataru, Madoka bears traits similar to those of a savant and was also formerly an SPB candidate who had received training. The two remotely perpetrated bombings put the FBI and Tokyo Metropolitan Police Agency in hot pursuit of Madoka.

Living in an area known for its juvenile crime, 21 year-old Makoto has become a member of a youth gang called the G-Boys. Known for his cool head and ability to get things done, Makoto becomes a key trouble-shooter for the gang by diffusing tense situations and keeping his friends out of harm’s way. However, the death of his girlfriend and an escalating turf war with a rival gang threaten to be more than Makoto can handle.

One day, Asami calls her boyfriend and hears unfamiliar male voice on the other end. The man informs her that he found the lost smartphone and makes arrangements to return it to Asami. It safely reaches her, and she gives it back to her boyfriend. But she has no idea that the man, a serial killer, has hacked the smartphone and stolen all its data.

Nakajima’s song is about the miracle of meeting a loved one and the ties of love that bind them. Ever since, this song has been loved by millions and been covered by over 120 artists in Japan.

In 2019, the Heisei period has come to a close after 31 years. A boy and a girl, who were born in the 1st year of Heisei, meet each other in childhood, eventually fall in love, but become separated along life’s path. Late summer 1972. Truck driver, Yasu, is in the highest spirits singing to himself while working and restraining himself from his favorite hobbies of drinking and gambling. The reason? His wife is about to give birth to a son. Yasu himself never had parents to speak of, his mother having died while he was very young, and his father having abandoned him. Yasu's wife, Misako, also lost both her parents when she was young. And so the two spend their days in happiness, protecting and watching their son, Akira, grow. Until an unforeseen tragedy strikes when Akira is only 3. A freakish accident occurs that results in Misako sacrificing her life to protect her son. Yasu loses himself in grief and remorse, but recovers when he vows to raise the son he loves as best as possible even as it tests the limits of his wits and abilities. Though forced to battle feelings of anxiety, confusion and helplessness, Yasu clumsily yet honestly manages to rear his son with the support of friends in this moving tale of ultimate love between father and son.
